From Castel Sant 'Elmo to the Certosa di San Martino
Visit the ancient Certosa di San Martino, one of the first Carthusian monastic community in southern Italy, built in 1325.
The tour begins with the spectacular church, whose 'dressing' makes absolute masterpiece of the seventeenth-century Neapolitan Baroque. Artists such as Ribera, Lanfranco and Stanzione under the direction of Cosimo Fanzago have worked on the transformation of the structure. You will continue the visit to the cloisters and gardens, to conclude the section with cribs (Neapolitan presepe), with a rich and valuable collection of XVIII century Neapolitan shepherds, including the Cuciniello crib. The visit also includes the naval section with an exhibition of the Charles of Bourbon 24 oars Spear and the royal one belonged to the Savoy.
Then climbing along the walkway of Castel Sant 'Elmo, you can admire one of the most beautiful landscapes of Naples.
